Rob Thorup, DDS
President & Clinical Director
Dr. Rob Thorup is best described as an entrepreneur who happens to be a practicing Dentist. Dr. Rob attended Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986. While attending BYU he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for Valley Ambulance, and was one of the pioneers of the Timpanogos Mountain Rescue Team.
After graduating from BYU, he was accepted to the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where he graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1989.
Dr. Rob has been a pioneer in dental technology and the business of dentistry. He has lectured nationally and internationally for many noteable dental companies including Patterson Dental, Dentrix, Henry Schein, and ADABEI, and has published articles on digital radiography, practice management software, and advanced case presentation with technology. He is co-developer of the products known as Guru Connect, TreatmentPRO, My Dental Docs, and My Dental Stats.
He is the Clinical Director and a Managing Partner at My Practice My Business. Dr. Rob has been sponsored to train dentists and their teams on “The Clinical Business of Dentistry” by Crest and Oral B, Henry Schein Dental, Patterson Dental, Wells Fargo, Straumann, Nobel Biocare, and Ivoclar Vivadent just to name a few.
Other accomplishments include: Corporate pilot, Utah Private Investigator, NRA Instructor, and youth mentor.
He is married to his wonderful wife Tracy, who is the General Manager at My Practice My Business, and is the father of eight awesome children.
Tracy Thorup, MBA

Tracy Thorup has been working in the medical and dental fields since 2003. Her experience in teaching, marketing, and managing dental offices have helped her, and her husband Dr. Rob Thorup, create “The Clinical Business of Dentistry” training courses. Tracy teaches dental teams how to offer the best quality of care to their patients, while also using state laws and dental insurance contracts to get paid fairly for the services they provide. Her passion to help Utah dental offices set in motion the efforts that resulted in Utah’s House Bill 359, which was signed into law in 2021.
Tracy completed her MBA Program at Brigham Young University and is actively working on new legislation in Utah and surrounding states. She works closely with the ADA coding department, Utah State Insurance Commission, and dental offices throughout the nation to help them finally reclaim the “forgotten profitability” in dentistry again.
Dave Mecham
Product Manager
Dave’s education and background started in fine art. He has a BFA degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University. Nearly all of his professional career has been spent in technology, where he has worked to bring good design and user experiences to the online world. Dave has been privileged to work on many notable projects and with wonderful people for some of the top companies in North America.
In his free time, Dave can be found with his family, often enjoying the mountains near his home. He finds inspiration and energy in many outdoor pursuits, including trail running, fly fishing and backpacking trips. His interests in art and other related creative ventures keeps him young at heart and always eager to see and experience new things.
Michael Geary
Web Development Manager
Michael received his Bachelor Degree from Brigham Young University. He is co-owner of The Treeline Group, which specializes in data and logic driven internet application design and development.
Michael is a very skilled web architect/developer with experience in all aspects of web-based applications, dynamic PDF generation/manipulation, database architecting, and data driven interactive multimedia. He has worked on many different projects for top-tier clients.
When not working, Michael enjoys traveling abroad with family.
Tonya Campbell
Instructor & Data Integration Specialist
Tonya has 30+ years of experience in dentistry, having held every position in the dental office except for the roles of hygienist and dentist. When she is not working, she loves doing things with her husband and four kids. Some of their favorite things are family movie nights, going on long walks together, learning how to play pickleball, and going on vacation together.
Brett Aland
Web Developer
Brett received his Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from Utah Valley University. He is an experienced Web Developer with expertise in all aspects of web application development. Brett loves sports, especially BYU Cougar Sports and golfing. When not working, he can be often be found watching his kids play club soccer.
Taysia Tolbert
CEREC Technology Instructor
Taysia completed her Graphic Design associates from Dixie State University and is now working towards a Public Relations and Marketing degree at Utah Valley University. She loves boating, working out, and playing pickleball with friends and family.
Amanda Jensen
Facility & Training Coordinator
Amanda was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah. She then moved to Seattle where she studied dental assisting at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Amanda has been in the dental industry for over 4 years and loves what she does. Addicted to Mexican food and watching Formula 1, Amanda also enjoys camping and the great outdoors.
Nichelle Allred
Research Specialist
Nichelle was born and raised in Orem, Utah, with her four brothers. She attended Snow College for two years before earning her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene from Utah Valley University in 2014. She met her husband on a blind date. They have been married since 2012, and now they have two beautiful daughters! They love traveling, swimming, Café Rio, and Dirty Dr. Peppers.
